Genesis:
Deepalaya Mansik Swasthya Evam Viklang Punarwas Sansthan is a non-profit voluntary organization. It is the first Rehabilitation Centre to be established in 1994. Deepalaya got its shape of Society under the Society Registration Act xxi of 1860 as on 11/12/1999 to promote voluntary action from the grass root level in the field of rehabilitation for the disadvantaged group: persons with disability, women & children in distress, rural /semi urban women. It is one of the oldest and most reputed NGO in Purnia, which has worked for the promotion of sustainable, equitable and participatory development, social welfare and social justice through: Program for social work, women empowerment, SHG formation, Rehabilitation Centre for Mentally Challenged, Health service and other human service through social research and dissemination of socially relevant knowledge, social intervention through training and field action, contribution to social and welfare policy and program at state and National level.

Collective we are a team of 42 employees who strive to maintain the dignity of our organization and its working standards.
Deepalaya's history dates back to the year 1997 when our founder Dr. Ashish Kumar Raman laid the foundation of Deepalaya under the guidance and leadership of the then eminent official of RCI Dr. B. P. Yadav, Purnia. Deepalaya was successfully registered under the Society Act 1860 in the year 1999 with a vision to provide inclusive care

Deepalaya Institute for Mental Health & Rehab
NBCC (India) Ltd. a Govt of India Enterprise doated a Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) under its CSR initiatives. The MMU will be functional in Purnia District and nearby areas for patient transport and conducting Awareness activities. The MMU was flagged off on 02-09-2023 virtually by the CMD NBCC Shri PK Gupta and other eminent Directors of NBCC.
